Lowest new price: $3.99
Lowest used price: $8.48
List price: $19.98
Filled with romance and beauty, "Passione" is a lush collection of Mediterranean love songs featuring duets with global pop stars Jennifer Lopez, Nelly Furtado, and the late Edith Piaf. The album reunites Bocelli with 16-time Grammy Award-winning producer David Foster, who produced Bocelli's 2006 release "Amore," which sold more than 4.2 million copies.
"Passione" is in essence the second volume of "Amore," with a "fil rouge" which ideally connects the albums. As with "Amore," which featured timeless masterworks, "Passione" includes several beloved classics such as "Love Me Tender," "Girl From Ipanema," and "Sarà Settembre," (better known to English-speaking audiences as Neil Diamond's "September Morn"). Jennifer Lopez is featured on the soft and sensual track "Quizás Quizás Quizás" and Nelly Furtado joins Bocelli on "Corcovado." The album also features a duet with the late French chanteuse Edith Piaf on the song "La Vie En Rose."
On the album, Bocelli sings in six languages (Italian, English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Neapolitan) with his unmistakable voice, as Foster accompanies him on piano, along with Peruvian guitarist Ramon Stagnaro. The sensual sound is rounded out by Cuban, Brazilian, and Portuguese rhythms and a 63-piece orchestra recorded in London.
"Andrea continues to be my favorite singer of all time," Foster declares. "I pride myself on working with great voices, but he transcends that. He's a singer for all people, from the common man to the Pope."
Bocelli is an iconic figure in music with a myriad of breathtaking career achievements to his name. The Italian tenor is the most successful classical solo artist ever and one of the best-selling artists in music history, period, with more than 80 million albums sold worldwide. He is also credited with enabling the core classical repertoire to cross over and find a home atop the international pop charts, creating a new genre of music along the way. He has performed for four U.S. presidents, two popes, and the British royal family, as well as at ceremonies for the Olympic Games and the World Cup. He has been praised by such luminaries as Luciano Pavarotti, Franco Corelli (his beloved teacher and guide), Zubin Mehta, José Carreras, Lorin Maazel, Renée Fleming, and Celine Dion.

The 50 Best Recordings from the Worlds Greatest Voice of all time Luciano Pavarotti.
Including Pavarottis FIRST EVER recording, officially released for the first time, to mark 50 years of his international career, as well as 50 years with Decca.
These 50 recordings have been digitally remastered making this album the definitive, expertly selected survey of the singers recorded output. The collection takes the listener from Nessun Dorma to Caruso, La Donna E Mobile to Granada and incredible duets with fellow superstars Frank Sinatra, Bono, Eric Clapton and Sting, celebrating these milestones in the late-opera stars long and unprecedented career.
50 years ago this year on September 21st 1963 the legendary Luciano Pavarotti made his first major international opera appearance, deputising for an indisposed Giuseppe di Stefano at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, a performance which brought him to the worlds attention.
1963 also marked the beginning of the 27-year-old singers relationship with Decca, the label he recorded with for his entire career, making this one of the longest exclusive relationships an artist has ever experienced with a major label. Towards the end of his life, Pavarotti said, I have made so many wonderful recordings with Decca. The company has been a major part of my career really, it has been part of my family. Luciano Pavarotti
To celebrate these momentous events, Decca is releasing the first recording ever made of Luciano Pavarottis voice. This historic recording of the aria from La Boheme, Che gelida manina (Your tiny hand is frozen), has been lying dormant in the archives for 50 years, only now to be unearthed, re-mastered and made commercially available for the first time.
This previously unreleased track is here amongst the 50 best recordings ever made by the man who brought opera to the masses, while remaining the critics favorite. Pavarottis voice made soccer fans the world over fall in love with opera, when his version of Nessun Dorma from Puccinis Turandot was used by the BBC as the theme tune for the coverage of the 1990 FIFA World Cup in Italy. The enormous success of The Three Tenors followed when Pavarotti teamed up with Placido Domingo and Jose Carreras, and truly bridged the gap between opera and pop culture. He said himself, Some of the great opera arias themselves are really the best pop songs ever written Luciano Pavarotti

Anne Akiko Meyers is celebrated as one of the world's premiere concert violinists, described as a 'trailblazing violinist', one who is constantly 'charting her own course.' She has recently collaborated with top jazz artists such as Chris Botti, pop singing sensation, Il Divo and jazz legend, Wynton Marsalis, who composed cadenzas for her in Mozart's G Major Violin Concerto. This new recording of Bach's masterpieces for violin and orchestra is Anne's third release for eOne. Alongside the two concertos for violin, Anne has recorded the Concerto for Two Violins, performing both parts on her two Stradivari violins: her recently acquired Ex-Napoleon Molitor Stradivarius (as featured on "Countdown with Keith Olbermann" on MSNBC) and the Royal Spanish Stradivarius, heard on her last two eOne recordings. Also included on this disc are exquisite new arrangements of the "Air" from the Suite No. 3 and the Bach-Gounod "Ave Maria." Anne is quoted as saying "It was magical recording the Bach album with the English Chamber Orchestra and the 'Ex-Molitor/Napoleon' Stradivari violin, dated 1697. The special combination of beautiful repertoire, including 'Air', 'Largo' and 'Ave Maria', the Violin Concertos and the fresh take of recording both parts of the Double Concerto on 2 different Strads, was pure joy to make!"
