To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Of the two Iomega ZIP 750 external drives that I've purchased (same product each time), neither have worked well. The first drive worked well for a month or so, long enough for me to place important data on it, and then stopped working...with the cartridge stuck inside the drive. The second drive, bought for the purpose of recovering the data recorded by the first drive, worked for one of my three 750 MB cartridges...and died. I would love to recover the data from a second cartridge, but don't believe it's worth the money or hassle (horrible experience with the retailer, who shouldn't be allowed to work with Amazon). As a side-note: The second drive was sold as "new", but was obviously and unmistakably "used".
i've used a zip drive for some backups for many years.. and when my last one died, i realized that they were no longer being manufactured.. i was delighted to find this one and it has lived up to my expectations again..
The days of "750MB" has gone. Only reason I bought this was to retrieve my archival datas stored in the 750MB cartridges. After that it is useless. It's the time for the memory size of "GBs" and "TBs."
