stopped the crazy bloating

I got these and one other chewable and two kinds of capsules and this is only one I reordered. I dislike swallowing pills so I use the capsules only sporadically. The other chewable didn't taste great. This one actually tastes so good I have to remind myself not to eat it like candy. I can't say if it works better than the others, but since it is the only one I'm using routinely, I give it all the credit and it has made a big difference for me, specifically with crazy bloating. I have gallstones and attribute my gastric symptoms to that, though it could be unrelated. I had noticed that sometimes, especially at work, even though I would wake up with a flat stomach, by the end of the day I would have a big bloated belly. It had been off and on and moderate, but then started getting much worse. Perhaps I eat worse at work or maybe all the talking leads to "swallowing air", but at the end of a twelve hour ER shift, in the last hour, my belly was so bloated I looked pregnant. In fact twice in one week patients asked me when I was due. Now it's one thing to make people wonder, but you have to look very convincingly pregnant for someone to actually ask outright. In the mornings I would wake up with my normal flat belly again. I'm not sure exactly what the cause is, but I was desperate for some kind of change since that was getting not only uncomfortable but really embarrassing, so I bought a lot of digestive enzymes. As stated above, these are the only ones I am actually using daily, and I take them sometimes before but usually after the fact when I notice the belching or bloating start, and I have not once come home with a pregnant looking belly. My gastric symptoms, mainly belching and bloating, have been much much milder since using this. Whenever I read people say digestive enzymes let them eat foods they couldn't otherwise, I think they should just avoid the non-offending foods. But in real life I eat whatever is easy at work and sometimes on the run when I'm not at work. Now I definitely do better if I eat better, but in the real world how healthy I eat varies week by week and month by month based largely on all the other things I have to get done. While I keep trying to eat better (fast food and, sadly, pizza, seem to be my worst offenders), these have been a life-saver.

I am an avid buyer and user of supplements, as I believe they are one of the most instrumental, indispensable tools for regular people to take control of their health, whether prophylactically, in conjunction with mainstream medicine, or out of a desire to avoid standard pharmaceuticals.

And while I had confidence that I was making a good purchase (seemingly good quality product, essential natural ingredients, excellent price), I would not have imagined that it would turn out to be so incredibly important for helping my grandmother with her stomach troubles. (I had used it myself, but noticed no benefits - likely my set of issues is different from what these enzymes can help with). My grandmother had been struggling with extreme IBS for years after following an aggressive antibiotic regime for an infection. She could not hold her food properly, she had lost much water weight (unhealthy), and most frighteningly, had subsequent potassium depletion as a result of the diuretic effects, which is doubly dangerous for someone with an existing heart condition. Attempts to supplement potassium orally with foods failed, as it seemed her digestive system couldn't tolerate it. I passed on my enzymes to her (with 600 in a bottle, there were more than enough left) suggesting them as an addition to her diet. I never expected them to be so dramatic -- within one or two weeks, she let me know that these tablets were actually resolving her stomach issues that no doctor previously could. She continued taking them and regained the weight, and has much more energy than before (and the potassium depletion danger is hopefully now over), not to mention less of the embarrassment/inconvenience that the IBS was causing her. I'll keep buying these for her and anyone else in my family willing to try them out. I still can't get over how such a simple (and natural) product made such a huge improvement.
