Good selection for emergency and fair price. I'd spend more trying to make one and would put it off so this is perfect and great price! ( I got my daughter one also). To add to it I bought us each a lightweight flash light, cheap, that take 1 D battery, so they wouldn't be heavy since the backpacks a little heavy (probably should have gotten headlamps instead to keep hands free but oh well). I printed a list of emergency out-of -state contact/ph#s to put inside each with info for family/a few friends so we'd have in case cell battery dead. Also added a few 1's, 5's,10', 20's, So we each have them in our homes under beds. I just ordered an extra (boost?) charger for cells and IDK if you need to keep it charging or if it can go right in backpack, I'll find out. Next to backpack under bed, I have a study pair of old short boots with good traction, older lightweight gortex ski jacket and pants, pair of thin ski socks, lightweight silk long undies top and bottoms, hospital gloves, ace bandage, RX meds - albuteral inhaler, epi pen, and a few pills -I put a few in labeled baggie, not all but this one is dangerous to stop w/out tapering first so enuf that one to taper down.
I had 2 emergency ear-piercing personal alarms/keychains with button to set it off. I was going to get rid of them but they couldn't weigh more then a few ounces and maybe help. I also put in 2 white kitchen garbage bags, they weigh about nothing, and lots of uses, if pouring rain, dusty, to sit on, lie on, wear, put over an injury to help avoid infection like an arm or leg, use with emer blanket in pack, whatever. I posted this just to share some ideas. It's a 3 day supply but can be stretched out and personalized.
