While my boss ultimately changed his mind before trying this for himself, I was not disappointed in the slightest. To start with, the battery life on this is excellent. I have never run this down all the way, even during heavy car use and rarely had to recharge it. The Bluetooth connectivity between this device and my LG-Google Nexus 4 (running Android 5.0) is also fantastic: Pairing was a breeze, I was up and running in seconds, and I never get dropped audio input or output with my phone. When turning on the device and reactivating the Bluetooth, I recommend holding up the phone to the device as that is when it has the easiest time reconnecting.
Phone calls are what this speakerphone is primarily for, and it really does make taking and sending calls smooth as silk. To call, just dial on your phone (presumably when it is docked on a mount) or use the voice command button. Both work fantastically (Google Now had a little difficulty understanding me at first but adapted by the next day), and it is even FUN to place calls while driving. I hear the other party completely clearly and apparently the worst that the other party gets is some "tin" quality in my voice that increases as road noise increases. Apparently that is the noise cancellation software and is probably only relevant for people like me with old cars. You can also use your phone's voice assistant to compose text messages, just think in advance about what you want to say and who you are sending it to so you aren't floundering about. Google Now reads back the message to me over the speakerphone and asks whether or not I want to send, which really helps with the hands-free experience.
If you use your phone as a GPS a lot, this is also very helpful as you can have a clearer, loud speaker than your built-in phone speakers read out directions from Google Maps or whatever app you have.
What I was hoping this would do as a secondary function, and pleases me the most, is play music for me. I am not a gigantic audiophile, but this a huge step up from my phone's speakers. Very nice quality, though I'm sure there is better. If you have superb in-car speakers, the more expensive version of this device with an FM transmitter is probably what you want.
I give this a 10/10, 5/5, etc.. This makes using your phone on the road safer, legal, and easy. Jabra has done a good job with this device and I recommend it highly.
Once configured, the device senses a bluetooth phone (iPhone 5C with iOS 7.04) either being present, or absent, and powers on or off accordingly. I don't have the specs in front of me right now, but I believe that it has 20 hours of talk time, and 14 days (edited: 45 days claimed) standby. With the charging cable (standard USB, was included), the TOUR can also be used in a cup holder, or elsewhere, to re-charge as needed.
Usage is simple, but I can't speak much to it (like voice controls), as my wife uses it in her car. Answering and ending calls is easy, and using her iPhone as a GPS (Navigon, Google Maps, Apple Maps, Waze) also uses the TOUR speaker, and is much louder than the iPhone.
Other devices that we've tried have been thicker while sitting on the sun visor or clamped to the steering wheel (nope!), and generally boxy shaped, but the TOUR has no sharp corners, so we don't feel like it's a dangerous (the V50 driving position is fairly close to the wheel and sun visor) sitting close to (above) the head.
The only negative that I've seen is that the device really can't be charged while on the sun visor, as the charging cable isn't long enough (by design, I reckon) and is certainly a bit dangerous dangling through the driver's field of vision. Other than that, it's by far the best in-car speakerphone (add-on) that I've tried. Ordered on Amazon, it arrived quickly and was ready-to-go.
Can't say much more, other than that I recommend the Jabra TOUR without reservation! (No, I have no affiliation with Jabra or Amazon :-)
