NOPE!
These expansion pack disks are for downloading the game on the internet. What is the point of that?! I happily give this product a negative star rating.
Monte Vista is an Italian-themed world with stuff in it like an old Roman-looking coliseum, with little Italian-looking villas and cafes, and pre-made sims for your sims to interact with. The cool item that you get with this one is the wood fire oven, which you can then add to any household in any of your games in build/buy mode. You can then use it to make pizza, calzone, lazagna, and probably other stuff I can't remember.
Hidden Springs is another world that's supposed to have magical properties, but to be honest, it just seems like a relaxing vacation place without any of the spa stuff to me. It does have some new objects, most notably, Leon's Fountain of Youth. You can drink from it to add a day of life, or wish for youth, but that doesn't always work. You can place the fountain in any of your worlds just like the oven.
There's also a code in here for a Choc-O-Falls fountain-- it's just like a real life chocolate fountain. It's really only good for parties, it takes up storage space and it doesn't work right. Oh well. At least you don't have to clean it.
They're not making new content for TS3, and if you don't like downloading other people's content, or you're just tired of looking at the same maps, these are not bad additions to make to your game. There's nothing stunning in here, but there are a couple of good things to be had if you can wait for a sale.
As for the fame itself, it adds two really pretty worlds. Unlike the future one, this one offers a lot of cool stuff. Worth the money
As for gameplay, Monte Vista is cute but not worth the same as a full expansion. It's just a new neighborhood with some recipes but nothing crazy cool like a true expansion.
